At the same time, a large number of pig breeding and slaughtering factories in the province have resumed production one after another, together with a large number of meat products reserved by local commercial departments before the festival, pre-storage, internal increase and external transfer have made concerted efforts, and the supply of pork in the province has been more adequate.

 

Informed that the pork supply in Hubei was tight, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Finance actively coordinated, and COFCO urgently transferred 2,000 tons of frozen pork from central reserve to Wuhan central reserve. Of the 83 containers of 2000 tons of frozen pork, 8 containers arrived in the first batch on the 11th, and another 16 arrived on the 12th. The rest will also arrive in Hubei within this week.

 

In order to ensure the supply of Wuhan market, the fresh products department of COFCO Group in Central China tried its best to expand production capacity. The 42 employees in the small packaging workshop overcame the difficulties such as cold weather and poor logistics, and kept the five safety channels well. They worked 14 hours per person every day, and the production volume reached 2.4 times of normal times. The relevant person in charge of the group revealed that the next step, there are 10 thousand tons of reserve pork will be put at any time according to the Wuhan market demand. Cofco also operates two meat processing plants in Hubei province and has been an important supplier of fresh meat to the Wuhan market since the Spring Festival.

 

Planning for a rainy day also helps a lot. On the eve of the Spring Festival, major merchants in Wuhan have reserved thousands of tons of meat products in advance. For example, Zhong100 Warehouse has reserved 1,500 tons of meat. In addition to frozen meat, Wushang Supermarket has also reserved fresh meat and a large number of meat products such as beef, chicken and mutton. Starting from January 21, Wuhan also selected 50 commercial outlets of Wushang Supermarket, Zhonshang Supermarket and Zhongbai Ware in Han to put the first 500 tons of frozen pork into the market.
